Easter Blooms

Easter Blooms

Featured in the spotlight this week, “Easter Blooms” showcases a playful, whimsical approach to design. Inspired by the “Make Something Happy” blog, designer Gabriella Castillo playfully explored creating Easter flowers out of a popular craft medium: colorful tissue paper.

Eschewing her computer in favor of scissors, Gabriella discovered the enchanting characteristics that make tissue paper so fun with which to work. The material’s semi-transparent quality and ability to create new shades when colors are overlapped were delightfully captured in a tissue-paper collage that stands out for its simplicity and beauty.
